ZmIRC
Reporter
Bot

by insomnic

  • Installing
To install, simple extract IRC_Reporter.u & IRC_Reporter.int to your Unreal Tournament System directory. This is usually ?:\???\Unreal Tournament\System

  • Usage
Start Unreal Tournament, and when started, go into the menu, and find the "Mod" Item there. Under that, you will find an item named IRC Reporter. Click that, and a menu will pop up. In this menu, you can select which nick the Bot will use on IRC, what channel to join, and other goodies. Should be fairly self-explaining.

  • Supports
DeathMatch, Team DeathMatch, Last Man Standing, Capture The Flag, Assault & Domination, and our (insomnic's) own two PacUT and KnockoUT. Other gametypes should default to DeathMatch.

  • Special Feature
The IRC Reporter also includes a handy little thing for spectators, that makes it possible to switch view to the player with the highest score at any time. By binding a key to "set irc_reporter.irc_reporter bspecial true" you will switch to that player whenever you press that key. In CTF games, this will switch to the flagcarriers.
You can bind a key in two ways:
First decide what key you will bind the command to. Let's assume you pick the "U" key.
    - Open your User.ini file in the UT\System folder, and find the key you'd like to bind to in the list. In this case, find the the line that says U=, and modify it to: "U=set irc_reporter.irc_reporter bspecial true" (without the quotation marks)
    - You can also do it directly from the in-game UT console by typing in the console: "set input u set irc_reporter.irc_reporter bspecial true" (without the quotation marks)

  • Notes
This bot will set off CSHP if the server has it installed. So I would recommend not using it as a player. It's meant to be used on spectators. If you have enabled the ZmIRC Reporter Bot, you must close Unreal Tournament and restart it before playing on a CSHP enabled server. The ZmIRC Reporter Bot will not be enabled on 4.32+ versions of Unreal Tournament before clicking on the actual Menu Item. But on Pre-4.32 versions of Unreal Tournament the ZmIRC Reporter Bot will always be enabled. (So upgrade to 4.32 :).
